East China (Qingdao) Marine Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd. is located in the beautiful and fertile Pingdu Development Zone of Qingdao, on the coast of the Bohai and Yellow Seas. The company was founded in 1999 and has successively obtained more than ten qualification certificates, including A1 and A2 pressure vessel manufacturing licenses and pressure vessel design licenses issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China, ASME U stamp certification, ISO9001 Quality Management System, GB/T28001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and GB/T24001 Environmental Management System certification. Its main products include Class I, II, and III pressure vessels, wind power generation equipment, power station equipment, chemical equipment, steel plant equipment, and other products

Recently, the world's first 2.7MW high-efficiency compact tandem dual wind turbine unit, the "Sairui", has successfully completed its hoisting at Huaneng Jilin Tongyu Wind Farm and is about to enter the demonstration stage of complete machine operation. The core component of the unit, the 2.7MW dual rotor permanent magnet synchronous wind turbine, was developed by Xiangtan High tech Zone Xiangdian Power Co., Ltd.

The lifting of the 'Sairui' was successfully completed.

The 2.7MW dual rotor permanent magnet synchronous wind turbine is a dual shaft extension dual rotor permanent magnet synchronous generator, which is independently driven by the transmission systems at both ends of the entire machine. The outer rotor generator and the inner rotor generator are coupled into one through a special structure, with high power density and compact structure.

During the research and development process, the layout of the main structure of the generator has become a major challenge. The motor belongs to a dual rotor structure, which requires the arrangement of two independent stator and rotor systems, cooling systems, bearing structures, and stator leads in a limited space, making the design more complex than traditional models. To overcome this bottleneck, the project team carried out innovative designs in electromagnetic solutions, magnetic field coupling, motor structure, bearing structure, cooling methods, and other aspects. Through multiple reviews, the product design was successfully completed.

Compared with conventional motors, the end of the outer stator coil of the 2.7MW dual rotor permanent magnet synchronous wind turbine shrinks inward, increasing the difficulty of embedding wires and the risk of insulation damage. After multiple adjustments to the coil size and embedding operation method, the final method was to increase the pitch of the stator coil, embed it, and then reshape it, ensuring that the end size of each coil is consistent and the insulation is undamaged. Through the joint efforts of the team, the 2.7MW dual rotor permanent magnet synchronous wind turbine was delivered on schedule.

The "Sairui" dual wind turbine generator unit belongs to the national key research and development plan "Key Technology Research of New and Efficient Wind Energy Conversion Device" project. Compared to traditional wind turbines, the "Sairui" combines the front and rear wind turbines to capture wind energy. The blade length is shortened by nearly half at the same power, and the cost is reduced by more than 10%. Its application prospects are very broad.
